Terms &
          Conditions

1. Services Provided

The photographer agrees to provide professional wedding photography services as described in the selected package. This includes:

  • Coverage of the wedding as agreed in writing (number of hours, date, location, number of photographers).

  • Professional editing of the images in Carla Parietti’s signature style.

  • Delivery of high-resolution digital images via a private online gallery.

Any additional services (e.g., extra hours, engagement shoot, prints, albums, expedited delivery) must be specified in writing and may be subject to additional fees.

2. Booking & Payment Terms

2.1. Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only after:

  • The client has signed a contract (or agreed to these terms electronically), AND

  • A non-refundable retainer of 30% of the total amount has been received.

Until both are completed, the photographer is under no obligation to reserve the date.

2.2. Final Payment

  • The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the wedding date.

  • If the booking occurs within 30 days of the event, the total amount is due upfront, in full, upon signing.

  • Accepted payment methods: bank transfer (preferred), PayPal (fees may apply), or any other method mutually agreed upon.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

3.1. Client-Initiated Cancellation

If the client cancels the service for any reason:

  • The 30% retainer remains non-refundable.

  • If cancellation occurs:

    • More than 60 days before the wedding: only the deposit is retained.

    • Between 30–60 days before the wedding: 50% of the total amount is due.

    • Less than 30 days before the wedding: the full amount is due, regardless of circumstances, unless otherwise agreed.
      Force Majeure

    • In the event that the client is unable to proceed with the event due to a force majeure situation (e.g. serious illness, death in the family, natural disaster), Carla Parietti may, at her sole discretion, offer to reschedule the services or provide a partial or full refund depending on the circumstances. Documentation may be requested. This clause does not apply to cancellations for personal convenience or change of mind.

3.2. Photographer-Initiated Cancellation

In the extremely rare case that the photographer must cancel due to serious unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, injury, family emergency), she will:

  • Notify the client as soon as possible.

  • Propose a trusted, professional replacement from her network (pending client approval).

  • If no satisfactory replacement is found, a full refund will be issued, including the retainer.

3.3. Postponement

In case of postponement due to force majeure (pandemic, death in the family, natural disaster, etc.), the photographer will offer to reschedule subject to availability. If rescheduling is not possible, the retainer may be transferred to a future date, or partially refunded at the photographer’s discretion.

4. Photographer’s Commitment & Style

By hiring Carla Parietti, the client agrees to trust her artistic direction and recognizes her style as:

  • Emotion-driven, artistic and documentary in nature.

  • Focused on storytelling, authenticity and the aesthetics of fine art.

The photographer does not deliver unedited (RAW) files, as post-processing is an integral part of her creative vision. Image color grading, cropping, and light retouching are done at the photographer’s discretion and will not be subject to individual revision.

5. Deliverables & Delivery Timeline

5.1. Gallery Delivery

  • A curated gallery of high-resolution, edited JPEG images will be delivered via a secure online platform within 8 weeks after the event (unless otherwise stated in the contract).

  • The gallery will remain active for 3 months, during which the client is responsible for downloading and backing up the images.

  • Delivery of the final gallery will only occur once the full balance has been paid by the client.

  • RAW files are not included and will not be delivered under any circumstances.

5.2. Number of Images

  • The number of photos delivered varies depending on the length of the event, number of guests, and lighting conditions.

  • The photographer commits to delivering a minimum of 300–600 photos for a full-day wedding, though this is not contractual.

5.3. Albums & Prints

Albums, prints or any physical product must be ordered separately unless otherwise included in the package. Delivery timelines vary based on production schedules and client approvals.

6. Client's Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding the event timeline, locations, and expectations.

  • Notify the photographer of any key people, emotional moments or traditions they wish to be captured.

  • Secure any permits or authorizations required for photography at chosen venues.

  • Ensure cooperation from all guests and vendors, and provide a point of contact (wedding planner or designated person) for the day.

  • The presence of other professional photographers or videographers must be disclosed in advance. If another vendor or guest’s behavior prevents Carla Parietti from performing her work, she reserves the right to leave the venue without issuing a refund.

7. Copyright & Image Usage

7.1. Copyright

All images remain the intellectual property of Carla Parietti, under international copyright law. The client receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use only.

  • Sell the images or submit them for publication without written consent.

  • Apply filters or retouch images without the photographer’s permission.

  • The client may not sell, license, or otherwise transfer usage rights to any third party without prior written consent from Carla Parietti.

Any intent to publish the photographs in print or digital media (magazines, blogs, etc.) must be communicated in advance and approved in writing by Carla Parietti.

7.3. Photographer Use

Unless the client expresses otherwise in writing, Carla Parietti reserves the right to use selected images for:

  • Website portfolio

  • Social media

  • Wedding blogs & publications

The photographer will never disclose private information (names, location, or faces of children) without consent.

8. Liability

While the photographer takes all necessary precautions, she cannot be held responsible for:

  • Circumstances beyond her control (bad weather, lateness, restricted access, difficult lighting conditions, etc.).

  • Uncooperative guests or third parties interfering with her work.

  • Loss or damage to digital files due to force majeure (fire, flood, theft, hardware failure).

In the unlikely event of total photographic failure, the photographer’s liability is limited to a full refund of all payments made.

Carla Parietti cannot be held liable for any indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss, delays, or defects caused by third-party printing labs or delivery services. The client acknowledges that once the files are delivered to a third party, their handling is beyond the photographer’s control.

9. Image Storage & Archiving

  • The client is advised to download and back up the images as soon as possible.

  • The photographer keeps a copy of the final gallery for a minimum of 6 months after delivery.

  • After that period, archiving is no longer guaranteed.

10. Personal Data & Privacy

All personal data (email, phone number, address, wedding details) is handled confidentially and used solely for contract execution, delivery and communication.

No data is shared with third parties, except service providers (album printers, gallery platforms) necessary for order fulfillment.

11. Jurisdiction & Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, both parties agree to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, jurisdiction shall be attributed to the relevant courts of the photographer’s place of residence.

12. Acceptance of Terms

Booking a service with Carla Parietti implies full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. The client acknowledges having read and understood the document, and agrees to be bound by it.
