About

Carla

I grew up in France, surrounded by horses and open land, and a father who was never without a camera. I picked up my first one at eight years old. Something clicked: a photograph could make a moment last forever.

A love of cinema pulled me to Paris. Then curiosity brought me to Toronto. Through every move, I kept returning to that same quiet impulse: to slow down, look closely, and hold onto what's fleeting.

I'm drawn to the analog tradition. Its texture and grain, its patience with light. Whether I'm shooting film or digital, I'm chasing the same thing: an image that doesn't just document. It stays with you.

Today I work with people who care deeply about what they build. Makers, farmers, hoteliers, craftspeople. Photography is my way of making sure their work is seen and remembered.
